Welcome to my photography website.
I am a semi professional photographer based in the Forest of Bowland AONB which is situated literally in the geographical centre of Great Britain. I live in between Dunsop Bridge & Slaidburn, in the county of Lancashire. I have a keen interest in many areas of photography including; Events, Portraiture, Landscape, Wildlife, Architecture & Street.
In addition to taking photographs, I am an advanced Photoshop user who enjoys manipulating photographs. I also like to digitally restore & colourise old photos.
I am a member & committee chairman of Ribble Valley Photographic Society & a member of Blackburn & District CC, I regularly enter images into club & inter club competitions and photography exhibitions.
I am also a member of the Royal Photographic Society and have been awarded the LRPS distinction, (Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society), for demonstrating a high standard of photography. I am aiming for more photography awards this year to include ARPS, BPE, CPAGB & FIAP.
In February 2023, after attending a judging seminar organised by the Lancashire & Cheshire Photographic Union, I was invited to become a registered L&CPU photography Judge. You can book me to judge your photography club competitions on my Photography Judging page.
I am looking to collaborate with models, male or female, to work with on a mutually beneficial basis, (TFP or Time For Prints), to create a series of high quality portraits for submitting into future competitions and exhibitions. If you are interested in a creative project as a model, makeup artist or fashion designer etc, then please email me.
My wife, Margaret, is also a photographer and we have a joint website bowlandphoto.com where we showcase our photography specific to the Forest of Bowland AONB.
